What happens in a treatment?

You will complete a comprehensive pre treatment questionnaire that will help your practitioner understand more about your medical history and any relevant lifestyle history to support your initial consultation. Together with your practitioner, you will identify what you would like to focus on in your session. From there you will lay fully clothed on a comfortable massage table where you can utilise the pillow and the blankets. The room is comfortable, private and well lit with natural lightning. The practitioner will use gentle, light touch and will ask you some questions to identify the imbalances in your system. There will be an opportunity for you to relax and to receive the remedies that will support you to find a state of balance and harmony.

If you are unable to lay down, it is possible to arrange for your session to happen in a comfortable seat. You will still have the same benefit as laying on a table.

How long does a session take?

The initial consultation is 90 minutes with approx 30 minutes of discussion before getting on the table for a balance.

Ongoing consultations are 60 minutes

What do I wear and what do I bring?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Layers are best in case you get hot or cold during a session. You will be fully clothed the entire time.

You do not need to bring anything. However you may like to bring a journal and a pen to document anything that comes up in your session.

Will it hurt?

The muscle testing technique is not painful. It is a light touch that you may not even notice throughout the session. It is important for you to discuss any pain or mobility issues you have with your practitioner prior to your initial consultation especially if laying down exacerbates this. It is possible to do kinesiology sitting or standing, so please know you can still have a positive outcome even if you are not able to lay down. Your comfort is my priority, if at any time you feel pain or discomfort throughout the session, it is important you let the practitioner know immediately.

How much is a session?

  • Initial consult $130

  • Ongoing consult $110

How many sessions are needed?

This varies for each client. You are in control of how often you want to experience kinesiology and your practitioner will be happy to offer guidance for you if ongoing sessions are required.

There may be times when your practitioner feels you may benefit from other modalities or specialities. Your kinesiologist may offer recommendations for you to see other practitioners. An example of this may be a naturopath, a chiropractor or a mental health professional depending on your specific needs.

Does a session have to be in person?

No. Online sessions can be extremely supportive as you are in your own space where you feel comfortable and safe. Sometimes clients find the stress of getting to an appointment to be overwhelming. Kinesiology uses many different techniques to understand stress and bring harmony and balance to a person, an online session can be more impactful than in person.
